Perspicacity* LLC offers consulting services related to the design and operation of joint cognitive systems.
While Professor John Flach was exploring and teaching principles of Cognitive Systems Engineering (CSE) and Ecological Interface Design (EID), Joe Flach was refining and mastering methodologies for developing, implementing, and maintaining Disaster Recovery Programs (DRP), Business Continuity Programs (BCP), and Crisis Management Programs (CMP) for private and public organizations world-wide. While John was supervising graduate student research on joint cognitive systems, Joe was gaining practical experience working with Corporate America, International Commerce, and Government Agencies. While John was developing interfaces to support expert decision making and problem solving in multiple work domains including aviation and healthcare, Joe was gaining experiences assisting organizations in their responses to, recoveries from, and post-event evaluations of a series of progressively more challenging business interruption events and catastrophes.
On the occasions when the brothers had the opportunity to discuss their professional journeys, they marveled over the opportunities for synergies across their fields of expertise; but they never did anything to formally take advantage of this symbiotic potential … UNTIL NOW.
Recently, John and Joe each found themselves faced with the decision to pursue new opportunities with existing organizations, strike out on their own, or hang up their cleats – when the inspiration came to join forces and merge their experiences, education, and drive into a professional consulting firm. Hence, the roll-out of Perspicacity, LLC.
Through Perspicacity, you can engage both professionals to explore ways to increase organization resilience and effectiveness in an increasingly complex business landscape.
Perspicacity is now able to receive and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and invitations for speaking engagements.
